ADA Testing Accomodation

Please note that if you are requesting testing accommodations you are still responsible for meeting ALL requirements and deadlines for the bar examination and you are held to the same Standard of Candor as the Certified Statement of Candidate for the Committee on Character.

OVERVIEW OF STEPS TO REQUEST NON-STANDARD TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS

 

1. Read the Non-Standard Testing Accommodations (NTA) Instructions carefully.

2. Print the following:

      a. Non-Standard Testing Accommodations (NTA) Application - REQUIRED for all NTA applicants.

      b. NTA Certificate of Medical or Psychological Authority (not required if requesting the same accommodations as previously granted by the New Jersey Board of Bar Examiners within the past three years).

      c. NTA Certificate of Law School Official (not required if submitted for a previous exam within the past three years).

      d. NTA Authorization and Release.

3. Complete the application and MAIL ALL ADA REQUIRED documentation no later than November 30th for the February exam or April 30th for the July exam.

4. You must keep a copy of all items submitted.  Send your completed application with all documentation to:

The NTA Application and all required documents must be postmarked by November 30th for a February exam and by April 30th for a July exam.  It is recommended that applicants request a return receipt regardless of the carrier used. You will not be notified by our office indicating that your NTA application has been received. Use the tracking information provided by the carrier to track receipt of the envelope.

The NTA Application and NTA Authorization and Release forms MUST BE submitted even if you are not required to submit the NTA Certificate of Law School Official or the NTA Certificate of Medical or Psychological Authority because you qualify as a prior applicant requesting the same accommodation that was granted in New Jersey within the last three years.


ALL documentation must be received by the application deadline for your application to be processed.
